Hello everyone! Sorry for the short notice but we are going to keep the store closed today and switch over to our winter preordering only. If you want to see us today You can find us from 3-6:30 at First Place Christian Center for the Miami County Locally Grown Holiday Market in Troy.

You will also be able to see us at the:
Arts and Craft show at Brukner Nature Center Saturday 9-4

Christkindl Market Sunday night 5-7 in Russia

next Saturday the 14th at the Celina Farmers Market 9-12

and our last market of the year on Sunday December 15th at Carriage Hill Metro Park 11-4 I think!

As soon as the greens snap out of this cold snap I will let you know and list online for preordering. And the chickens have been moved to the barn after their last two months off. Lights are hooked up and we hope to be getting a few eggs again soon. We’ll let you know after we eat a few ourselves!!!

This is just a brief reminder that you may still order or add items until 6 am on Wed morning Dec 4. All orders will be combined and you will only be charged once.

Pick up is Thursday Dec 5 from 4:30-5:30 pm. Your credit card will be charged only once, after you pick up, to insure that all items you ordered were delivered to you.

A&A is back with apples, cider and vinegar this week. Apples on sale are great for baking, applesauce, etc. Goldrush apples #1 quality have been restocked.

Round Mountain Lamb is back online along with beef and beefalo from Done Rovin, and chicken and pork from dH.

SNAP/EBT can be used online and matched. Just put a note in the comment to managers at checkout.

DECEMBER SCHEDULE: Library pickup will be available on these Thursdays: Dec 5, 12 and 19. Closed on Dec 26.

A&A Orchard has apples available as well as local cider and apple cider vinegar. Apples marked “seconds” are on sale: 8lbs for $16 and are wonderful for baking, applesauce, etc.

BAKED GOODS: Dirty Apron and Ozark Natural Breads are back online this week. Celi Bakes has wonderful gluten free items.

VEGGIES: a variety of veggies available this week: carrots, lettuce, parsley, potatoes, radishes, salad mix, spinach, chard, turnips.

LOCAL MEAT: Consider local meat for your your holiday table—chicken, beef, and pork available online now.

VEGAN/VEGETARIAN: Bartleby’s has locally made seitan products for tasty plant based options.

OTHER GOOD THINGS AVAILABLE: local honey, locally made hot sauce, locally handcrafted items and more.

Foothills Market:  The Market is Open!


Just like that, Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is coming up fast! Foothills Market will have only two more pickup dates before the Christmas holiday. If you’re looking for something different that supports a local business, we have several items that would make a good stocking stuffer or a great gift for an office party or that hard-to-please relative.

Check out the market for gift ideas such as jams/jellies or homemade baked goods of all kinds. Once again, we’ll also offer gift certificates for the market if you’d like to share the benefits of local food with someone on your list. Contact us with the name of the gift recipient and the dollar amount you want, and we’ll make a personalized certificate you can wrap or stick in a stocking.

Place your order – whether for Christmas or just this week’s menu – between now and 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, and we’ll have your order ready for pickup on Thursday.

News from Andra at Sow’s Ear Piggery:
Sow’s Ear Piggery is restocked and back on the market with ground pork, pork breakfast sausage, pork chops, and ribs. There is also a limited quantity of special products including smoked bacon, salt pork, and rendered lard. As always, our pork is from heritage breed pigs raised outdoors on a non-GMO, no-corn, no-soy diet.

Our McMinnville pickup location is outside Martin Chapel Fellowship, near the big water tower and the Warren County Farmers’ Market pavilion, at
